Teaming up with the Oslo branch of renown design studio NODE Berlin Oslo and the developer team at Bengler, this custom typographic system was exclusively designed for multidisciplinary design studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro, New York. The close cooperation of type, graphic and code designers enabled mutual influence in the conception, execution and technical implementation of the typeface and the responsive display treatment.

Developed in four basic styles — Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic — the family makes for an efficient communication tool. The design merges Neo-Grotesque with industrial influences into an economic letter structure. The Monospace rhythm can be altered by introducing proportional variants for some lowercase and punctuation glyphs.

For display purpose, the typeface is equipped with three sets of capital letters in varying width. Completed on the cusp of wider Variable font support in browsers, the full justification of headlines on the studio’s website is achieved utilizing a custom javascript written by the developers at Bengler. This responsive approach acts as a metaphor for the Diller Scofidio + Renfro's philosophy embracing the complex interaction of environments and architecture.
