Custom Typeface and Logotype for «Hamran»

Custom display typeface and logotype for Norwegian manufacturer of bespoke interiors and furniture Hamran, commissioned by Studio Oker.

The typeface is loosely based on the Castor Series by the American foundry Barnhart, Brothers and Spindler as shown in their specimen catalogue dated 1907. Some structural adjustments had to be made in order to enhance the elegance and sophistication and get rid of the Neo-Gothic weirdness of the original.
